Grand Boulevard at Sandestin®, A Place of Distinction
The escalating growth of residents and visitors to the Emerald Coast merited a town center that offered convenient access to a multitude of exclusive shopping and dining options, entertainment, professional services and lodging. The close proximity to the growing population, pristine beaches and burgeoning development in Northwest Florida make Grand Boulevard at Sandestin® the perfect 'shop, work, play and stay' destination. Located between Pensacola and Panama City - approximately 45 miles to either - at the entrance to Sandestin® Golf and Beach Resort, the town center offers a broad range of options in a compelling setting that complements the dense natural surroundings.

In 2003, the community retail section of Grand Boulevard opened, featuring many service-oriented businesses, including Publix Food & Pharmacy, Sandestin Wine World, The UPS Store and many more. Two Marriott hotels, the first of their kind in Northwest Florida, opened on the western end of the town center in 2006. The Courtyard by Marriott Sandestin® caters to the evolving needs of business travelers, while the Residence Inn by Marriott Sandestin® is designed for extended stays of five nights or longer. Both hotels offer guests full access to Sandestin® Golf and Beach Resort's amenities, including four championship golf courses and complimentary tram service to the nearby beach.

The first portion of the town center opened in 2007, featuring many nationally recognized retailers and restaurants making their debut to this region. Grand Park also opened as a relaxing, central green space for the community. A distinctive water feature can be found at the east end of Grand Park, a beautiful visual representation of the ever-changing tides of the nearby Gulf of Mexico.

Howard Group is building Grand Boulevard as a "must-see" destination for residents and visitors and is proceeding accordingly to ensure a memorable experience for all. Approximately $4.2 million dollars is being spent on the lush landscaping that will be planted and grown throughout and around Grand Boulevard. A visually stunning array of more than 50 types of trees, bushes and plants will include Medjool Date Palms, Live Oaks, Bird of Paradise, Bamboo varieties, Crepe Myrtles and 600 oversized planters of seasonal varieties. This eclectic mix will create a refreshingly verdant backdrop for the town center and lovely natural scenery to enhance the pedestrian experience.

Easy access to the town center and a definitive connectivity to the community are two important elements in developing a sophisticated town center. The main street, Grand Boulevard, runs the length of the property from Sandestin® Golf and Beach Resort to the community retail center. Easy and plentiful parking options - for bike and golf carts as well as cars - and numerous trams from Sandestin make for stress-free entry. Grand Boulevard will continue to evolve over the next few years, including additional retail, dining, lodging, residential and entertainment options.

For Howard Group, community involvement through local civic and nonprofit groups is given the same priority as future projects. Grand Boulevard supports community businesses that foster growth and progress in local schools and churches, business and Tourist Development Councils, non-profit civic organizations and charities and the arts.
